Linqer FAQ
Credits, clicks, queue priority, privacy, and reset — how reciprocal link sharing works.
Frequently asked questions
In short: Share someone else's link and earn +1 credit (they spend −1). If your shared link receives a genuine third-party click, you earn an additional +3 credits, with no extra cost to the link owner.
- What is Linqer?
- Linqer is a link-sharing community where members promote each other's links while earning credits for participating. You add up to 3 links, swipe a review queue, share what you genuinely endorse, and climb the queue as your credit balance grows. It is designed for reciprocal promotion — not one-way link dumps.
- How do credits work?
- Credits balance sharing activity between members. When you complete a share for someone else's link, you earn 1 credit and the link owner spends 1 credit. In short: sharer +1, link owner −1. Higher credits push your own links toward the front of other members' review queues.
- What happens when someone clicks a shared link?
- If a genuine third party opens the link you shared, you (the sharer) receive +3 additional credits. They are forwarded straight to the destination site — no Linqer page in between. The link owner does not lose any extra credits for the click.
- Do I lose credits when my link is clicked?
- No. A click does not deduct any additional credits from your account. You only spend 1 credit when another member completes a share of your link.
- Why do I lose a credit when someone shares my link?
- The credit represents the value of having another community member promote your content. It creates a fair exchange where members both give and receive promotion. You refill credits by sharing others' links (+1 each) and by earning click rewards (+3) when you share thoughtfully.
- Can I earn credits without submitting my own links?
- Yes. By sharing links from other members and generating genuine clicks on your tracking links, you can build credits even before you submit your own promotions. New accounts start with 10 credits.
- Can my credits go negative?
- No. Credit balances are floored at zero. If your balance is low, your links may appear later in the queue until you earn more credits by promoting others or receiving clicks.
- Why are clicks worth more than shares?
- A click shows that a promotion reached a real person. Rewarding clicks at +3 (versus +1 for completing a share) encourages members to share links they believe their audience will actually open — not just post and forget.
- What counts as a valid click?
- Only legitimate clicks from real browsers count. Social preview crawlers (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, etc.) are logged but do not earn credits. Shared links pass through Linqer briefly to log the visit, then redirect to the real destination. The same visitor on the same link is deduplicated for credit purposes for 24 hours (hashed IP). Each tracking link can earn at most 10 credited visits per UTC day.
- Can I repeatedly click my own shared links to earn credits?
- No. The system rewards genuine engagement. You cannot earn click credits on your own link promotions, and repeated or artificial click patterns may not award credits.
- Is there a limit to how many credits I can earn?
- There is no fixed lifetime cap. Credits are earned according to the normal share (+1) and click (+3) rules, with click deduplication per visitor per link per 24 hours and a daily cap of 10 credited visits per tracking link.
- How many links can I submit?
- Up to 3 active links per account. Delete or edit a slot when you want to promote something new.
- Can I share the same link again after I already promoted it?
- Yes. Use Reset share queue on the review page or dashboard. That clears your skip and completed promote history so links can appear again. Each new completed share applies the normal +1 / −1 credit transfer. Links you already earned click credits on keep their stats; reset only affects your queue progress.
- Is Linqer free?
- Yes. There is no paid tier in the current release. Credits control queue priority, not access to the tool.
- How does the leaderboard work?
- All-time rankings — nothing resets periodically. Four boards: top credit balance, links promoted for others (counts as soon as you approve a share — no “Done sharing” step required), clicks on links you shared, and clicks on links you own. Only members who stay opted in appear, by public nickname only.
- Is my email shown publicly?
- No. Only your chosen public nickname appears on the feed and optional leaderboard. You can change your nickname or opt out of the leaderboard in your dashboard. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
- Do I get SEO value from Linqer links?
- Yes — in two ways. First, every link you submit is listed on Linqer with a direct dofollow outbound link to your site (marked rel="ugc", not nofollow) on the public feed and in the app. That listing is there as soon as you submit, before anyone shares you elsewhere. Second, when other members choose to promote your link on social networks, you gain extra distribution and tracked clicks. You spend 1 credit when someone completes a share of your link, but you do not lose the on-site dofollow listing, and clicks never deduct extra credits from you — so for most members it is a practical no-lose situation: on-site backlink plus optional off-site reach.
- Does Linqer host my website?
- No. Visitors are forwarded to your destination URL immediately after the click is logged. Preview images may be cached on Linqer servers for the swipe feed.
